Totally Dublin – Detroit

I was asked to create an illustration for Totally Dublin, a popular magazine in Dublin. The illustration was to accompany a film review for Detroit, a film about the Detroit Riots in 1967. It shows a protagonist of the film. He is a professional black R&B signer who is a victim of police brutality, partially due to his race and also being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
