Woodheart

Woodheart (Ben Shorten) appraoched me about creating artwork for a single he was releasing. Radar was about trying to get off the grid and out of the 'rat race'. The concept for the illustration was inspired by the lyrics. The image I created shows a man in disguise wearing a mask of a bear to hide behind. At the same time he is also naked, showing his vulnerability. The colour palette reflects the music, which is bright and uplifting. When you listen to the lyrics, however, a sadder story emerges.
