In The Meadows

In The Meadows is a one-day summer festival held in the grounds of Royal Hospital Kilmainham in Dublin. Each year the festival line-up is curated by the headline act. The headliner and style inspiration this year was Iggy Pop. I created a poster to promote the festival, inspired by both the music and location. The main image shows a scene of the venue and surrounding parks. It is encircled by a shape that could be interpreted as a stage, a setting sun, or a gate. The border features icons of flora and fauna found in meadows. The colour scheme and illustration style is bright and fun, in keeping with a punk art aesthetic that represents the vibe of the acts and the summer festival.
